My plan is to use this blog to do book reviews and to share helpful links I've found on writing and the creative process. You can expect lots of links and the sort.
What do I write? Urban Fantasy, if you must know (and you must). I'm wrapping up revisions on my first novel now, and whilst it does have vampires, I promise there'll be no sparkling.
I am obsessed with all things gothic ... I find it all so romantic. I ride my horse, Midnight, as much as I can considering I'm still a full time student at UGA (go dawgs!).
Let's see, what else would you want to know about me? Since this is likely our first meeting and all. Well, I have an older brother named Sean (sorry ladies, he's taken), and a kitty named Mish. With any luck I'll be sharing my work here soon, maybe just a few pages ... oughtta give you a glimpse of my style and snark.
Oh, and I'm originally from Dublin, Ireland. I've been in the states since I was wee though (seven years old actually), so I'm sort of an Irish/Southerner. I currently live in Athens, Ga and absolutely adore the fact that it doesn't get too cold here. I may be pale, but I love, love, love the sunlight! I still can't tan worth a damn, but I love the sunshine anyway.

Chancellor has somehow persuaded her publisher to allow her to give away her debut novel, Son of Ereubus, for free all this month (what's left of it). No, I'm not affiliated with Rhemalda. Yet. I'm planning on submitting my novel to them shortly, but for now I have the upmost admiration for them via my living vicariously through my friend (Breanne, but surely you knew J.S. was a pen, didn't you?) She raves about how fantastic they are, so I haven't any choice but to submit, what with such strong recommendations.

Cool! I'm also a Dark Urban Fantasy writer whose writing a story with vampires that don't sparkle, among a bunch of other creatures that don't sparkle, and I love all things gothic too.

Good blog! Glad I found you (I followed the suggestion of Breanne Braddy), it seems we have a lot in common? I'm a writer who's fond of fantasy/sci-fy too, the most serious genres according to my opinion, and love Greece too! I have good friends from Greece (Athens, Volos) too, maybe you know them?
ReplyDeleteThis suggestion I usually post to any blog I like, hope you'll like it? Do you use sites like zazzle.com, cafepress. com, fiverr? They could be a good way to promote your works and to help "remove" stupidity in the streets like headlines on t-shirts, fridge-magnets, cups, etc: My Boyfriend kisses Better Than Yours, FBI - female body inspector, etc. Not everything we see and think of should be about sex, right? It would be much better if there were more nice pictures of mythical creatures, good thoughts, poems from fantasy genre, etc? I'm allanbard there, I use some of my illustrations, thoughts, poems from my books (like: One can fight money only with money, Even in the hottest fire there's a bit of water, etc). Best wishes!
